Five students from the EFCTS Marketing & Logistics class stand outside The Cruiser Shop with their medals from DECA district competition

On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, students from the Eastland-Fairfield Career & Technical Schools Marketing & Logistics satellite program presented their projects at the DECA district competition, held locally. Seven of those students will now represent the EFCTS and their program at the DECA regional competition in March.

Mr. Robinson’s Marketing & Logistics class, which is housed at Groveport Madison High School, featured three individual first-place finishers and one first-place team at the district competition. Two individuals also tallied second-place finishes, as well.

Congratulations to district champions Eva Walton (Sr.,), Jalia Clark (Jr.,), Riley Pettay (Jr.), and the team of seniors Kyger Weston and Trinity Tinney, all of whom are from Groveport Madison High School.

Joining them at next month’s regional conference will be Groveport seniors Kristian Dougherty and Richie Saelim, who placed second in their respective events.

Juniors Isaiah Hayes (Groveport Madison) and Marquis Crump (Pickerington Central) also medaled, taking third in the Sports and Entertainment team event. They will serve as alternates at Regionals.

The regional conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus on March 8-9, 2024. Students will use the time leading up to the DECA regional conference to fine tune their projects for the competition.

Congratulations to all of our Marketing & Logistics students on a job well done.
