GROVEPORT, Ohio [May 18, 2023] – Sarah Bodnar, a senior attending Fairfield Career Center, is one of 250 outstanding National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) members to receive the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship based on their ability to consistently exemplify the 7 attributes of NTHS – Skill, Honesty, Service, Responsibility, Scholarship, Citizenship, and Leadership.
The Jon H. Poteat Scholarship recognizes 250 NTHS members from around the country with a one-time $1,000 scholarship to use toward their future endeavors.
Bodnar, a senior in the Pre-Nursing program at FCC, will graduate from Pickerington High School North this month.
"As president of the National Technical Honor Society, Sarah has been an essential member of our organization and has been an active helper in all areas of NTHS,” said Rita Ralph, FCC NTHS advisor. “Sarah has proven herself as a leader amongst her peers and is well respected by both staff and fellow students. We are so proud of her accomplishments and want to congratulate her on winning the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship."
Since 1984, NTHS has been the honor society for Career and Technical Education (CTE), serving high schools, career centers, community & technical colleges, and universities. Recognizing over 50,000 new members annually, NTHS exists to advocate for and empower all students to pursue the technical and academic skills needed to build their careers and a skilled global workforce.
