Pillar 4: Maximizing Instructional Effectiveness
Goal
Ensure that each student is challenged and engaged while eliminating barriers to student learning and success.
OBJECTIVE 1: Build collaboration between labs and academics to align the philosophy of career and
technical education (PBL) with academic classes.
OBJECTIVE 2: Improve assessment, evaluation, and evolution of instructional practices.
OBJECTIVE 3: Build a passion for learning through student voice and choice.
How will we accomplish this?
Implement a new system of high school teacher teams
Develop a building-specific plan for intentional time devoted to instructional discussion, collaboration, and use of "data to action" protocol
Develop a plan of CTSO standards and employability skills in both academic and lab settings for implementation
Create and implement an IBL mentoring protocol to ensure support and continued focus
Identify and implement specific instructional goals across all courses
Develop a "Data to Action" plan and structures to support monthly/quarter follow-through
Assess and evaluate the role of existing student advisory groups
Share student feedback with all instructors to complete Data to Action Plan
